
Data Network Specialist
ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS AND IOT IN THE ONE HEALTH SECTOR
The course trains professionals in the management, security and testing of telecommunications networks and services (TLC), developing skills on transmission media, protocols and fixed and mobile communication devices.
The technician is able to develop Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, has skills in electronics and wireless communication applicable to the health, agri-food and environmental sectors, can ensure safe and qualitative data management and automate or integrate the functioning of different devices.
The figure is able to develop Internet of Things (IoT) solutions, with electronics and wireless communication skills, applicable to the health care, agribusiness, and environmental sectors, and to manage data in terms of quality and security from sensors and other devices, and to automate or integrate the operation of different devices.
Who can enrol
Up to 25 candidates, young or adult, employed or unemployed, who have obtained a 5-year secondary school diploma
Duration
Two years, with up to 2000 hours of training, including the internship
Internship
Up to 800 hours, in Italy or abroad, within the ITS A.Volta companies network
Method
Our teaching method is highly practical and laboratorial and consists in alternating practical exercises, theoretical lessons, internships and project work

TRAINING PATH
From the entrance test to the project work discussion, find out how the course is articulated
SELECTION PROCESS
Candidates take an entrance test to assess their level on the technical skills required by the course and their knowledge of English and informatics (a written test followed by an interview)
COURSE STRUCTURE
Classroom training, laboratories, visits to companies. More than 50% of the teachers come from companies and have at least 5 years of specific experience
INTERNSHIP
Carried out at relevant businesses in the biomedical sector, in Italy or abroad. Every student is supervised by a company tutor
FINAL EXAM
It consists of a theoretical/practical examination, an oral and a written test, in which students present the project work they developed during their internship
