The course trains experts who can support the entire management of wellness facilities, medical spas and spa and hospitality facilities. The figure has skills in terms of welcoming guests - thanks to specific management and marketing expertise - and in the technical-healthcare field. The figure acquires skills to coordinate the facility's staff and guarantee a 360° wellness experience. The expert knows the properties of thermal waters and the characteristics of holistic therapies (e.g. cryotherapy, thalassotherapy, etc.) and the basics of dermatology, cosmeceutics, epigenetics and nutraceutics.
Up to 25 candidates, young or adult, employed or unemployed, who have obtained a 5-year secondary school diploma
Three years, with up to 3000 hours of training, including the internship
Up to 1350 hours, in Italy or abroad, within the ITS A.Volta companies network
Our teaching method is highly practical and laboratorial and consists in alternating practical exercises, theoretical lessons, internships and project work
End of October
The annual fee is 400 euros, plus the regional tax for the right to higher education

SELECTION PROCESS
Candidates take an entrance test to assess their level on the technical skills required by the course and their knowledge of English and informatics (a written test followed by an interview)
COURSE STRUCTURE
Classroom training, laboratories, visits to companies. More than 50% of the teachers come from companies and have at least 5 years of specific experience
INTERNSHIP
Carried out at relevant businesses in the biomedical sector, in Italy or abroad. Every student is supervised by a company tutor
FINAL EXAM
It consists of a theoretical/practical examination, an oral and a written test, in which students present the project work they developed during their internship
Il bando prevede il pagamento del costo del corso in due rate da 200,00 euro: la prima all’atto del perfezionamento dell’iscrizione, assieme alla tassa regionale per il diritto allo studio (che viene definita annualmente), la seconda entro il 15 marzo di ogni anno formativo
La frequenza è obbligatoria per l’80% della durata del corso, al fine di poter accedere all’esame finale
Sono previste fino a 8 ore di lezione al giorno per 5 giorni a settimana
* In collaborazione con il Comune di Trieste, la Fondazione ITS A. Volta potrà offrire l’opportunità di alcuni alloggi a prezzo agevolato. Il numero però è limitato e verranno assegnati in base a ISEE e distanza geografica di provenienza.
* Il Welcome Office* – ufficio unico di accoglienza per studenti e ricercatori – offre un supporto personalizzato sulle principali tematiche relative alla mobilità (ricerca di un alloggio, informazioni sui trasporti e sulla città in generale, indirizzi utili, ecc.). * La Residenza RTMLiving Trieste, struttura di nuovissima generazione inaugurata nel novembre 2015, offre agli studenti appartamenti singoli e doppi con finiture di pregio, palestra, sala cinema, biblioteca, lavanderia e numerosi altri servizi e aree di socializzazione, in un ambiente dedicato ai giovani.

* L’Opera Figli del Popolo di Trieste offre agli studenti attraverso la “Famiglia Universitaria AUXILIUM”alloggi in stanze da due o tre letti (alcune con servizi in camera) e dà la disponibilità di locali comuni riservati allo studio e alla ricreazione, un’aula informatica, palestra, campo giochi, sala di ricreazione, cucina e altri servizi e aree di socializzazione.
